Demonstrate Your Leadership in the Home Care Industry

 IAHC is the premier source of education for home care providers in Iowa, providing high quality education that enables home care professionals and agencies to thrive in an ever-changing and ever-challenging environment. As we plan our educational calendar, we are asking for your help in developing a well-rounded calendar of educational offerings. Here is your chance to become part of IAHC’s faculty and demonstrate your leadership and industry expertise to your colleagues of home care owners, executives, managers, administrators, clinicians, paraprofessionals and others who work in the home care industry.

 

Flexible Presentation Options

IAHC makes it easy for you to share your expertise by offering a variety of presentation options, including:

  • Present at our on-site Annual Conference in June
  • Deliver your presentation from the comfort of your own office (or the IAHC office) via webinar(s)
  • IAHC can also help you create a video-streaming presentation that can be accessed by the audience 24/7.
 
Sessions may vary in length from one to one-and-a-half hours, or can be split into a series of programs of this length.

Examples of vibrant submissions include, but are not limited to:

  • Medicare Certifiedial management
  • Data management
  • Technology in home care
  • Labor issues
  • Documentation
  • Supervision/management
  • Private duty topics
  • Marketing/sales
  • Employment issues
  • Regulatory

Please be creative. We're open to innovative topics!

Providing a session is an important way to meet the needs of home care providers while you enhance your resume and your career. Applications submitted electronically will be collected and reviewed when considering upcoming educational opportunities.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Sessions are to be educational in nature and presenters may not use a session as an opportunity to spotlight a company, product or service. Proposals submitted by industry vendors are welcome, however, the content must be free of commercial bias.
  • It is expected that the actual presentation will meet the stated session objectives; additionally, all written material supplied to participants will reflect stated objectives.
  • Submitting a proposal does not guarantee that your presentation will be selected. IAHC reserves the right to make final presentation selections and edit abstracts.
  • Speakers will be chosen based on quality, timeliness of content, value of content, and relevance to the needs of IAHC members.
  • Please note regarding the Annual Conference event: honorariums for presentations or travel are provided only for keynote presentations; not for concurrent sessions. IAHC recognizes you as a valued partner critical to the success of our Annual Conference. There is no remuneration offered for submitted presentations. IAHC does not fund travel, food, or lodging for session instructors. However, let us know how we can return value for the expertise you bring.
  • Concurrent sessions at the Annual Conference are scheduled to be 60 minutes in length. Plan to speak for about 45 minutes with a 5-minute introduction and 10-minute question and answer session at the end. Webinars are scheduled for no more than 90 minutes.
  • Presentations will not be printed for attendees. All submitted presentations will be converted to PDF format and placed on a secure web page for attendees to access.
