IAHC Membership
The Iowa Alliance in Home Care (IAHC) is a non-profit trade association whose membership is composed of home health care agencies. These agencies are private, public and voluntary non-profit; proprietary; and individually sponsored, community and county based.
The Alliance, which is headquartered in Des Moines, exists for the singular purpose of representing the interest of Iowa’s home health care agencies concerning those issues which the individual agency cannot financially, or possess the necessary expertise to address.
The Alliance is governed by a 15-person board of directors and has 6 standing committees. The major areas of common interest, as set forth by the board of directors, are (1) member continuing education, (2) consumer education/public relations, and (3) legislative and regulatory affairs. Regarding the latter, the Alliance has full-time lobbyists who work with the state legislature and the various regulatory departments to further the interests of home health care in Iowa.
The Alliance meets for their annual meeting at the June Annual Conference & Expo. The six IAHC districts meet in the spring and fall for collaboration, planning, updates, and networking. In addition, the Alliance hosts numerous continuing education seminars on topics of timely interest to home health care agency administrators and staff.
The Alliance is affiliated with the National Association for Home Care, the nation’s home health care voice, located in Washington, D.C. The national association hosts an annual convention and trade show and a spring legislative conference.
Now is the time to join the IAHC team! The Iowa Alliance in Home Care offers membership for Iowa home care providers and also for Associates. Individual membership with IAHC is available as well.
