Meet the Iowa Alliance in Home Care Staff
Executive Director
Greg Boattenhamer
Greg is the Executive Director of the Iowa Alliance in Home Care. Aside from his role overseeing the direction of IAHC, Greg is also responsibile for legislative strategy, grass roots political development, and overall communications activities. Mr. Boattenhamer has a master’s degree in mass communication from Drake University and has worked in health care government relations since 1986. He is also the American Hospital Association’s regional executive for Iowa and a registered lobbyist for the Iowa Hospital Association.
Director of Member Services
Amy Huisman
Amy is the Director of Member Services for Iowa Alliance in Home Care. Amy has worked for IAHC since 2008. She has many responsibilities with the Alliance including education coordination, member benefits, communications, and more. The IAHC Annual Conference & Expo has doubled in size for both the attendance and exhibitor participation since Amy began her tenure with the Alliance.
Amy’s background includes counseling adults with drug addictions, adolescents with behavioral difficulties, and individuals with brain injuries. She has worked in a variety of administrative office settings including The University of Iowa, Iowa Prestressed Concrete, and Polk County Medical Society. Amy has also worked in the housing department of a local college campus as a fraternity house mother and as a hall director.
Amy graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology/Human Services from Buena Vista University. She has also completed Associates of Arts degrees at Ellsworth Community College and AIB College of Business.
